Two electric utility companies, Gulf Coast Electric Cooperative, Inc. and Progress Energy serve Gulf County. Gulf Coast's Service territory extends North from the intracoastal waterway at White City to the Gulf/Calhoun County line, including the City of Wewahitchka. Gulf Coast also serves the Overstreet Area. Florida Power's service territory extends South from the intracoastal waterway at White City to the Gulf of Mexico, including the City of Port St. Joe.
